Barcelona is a delightful and seductive city in which it is advisable to spend a few days. It is rich in architecture and heritage, has everything from smart shops to colourful markets, an endless selection of cafes, bars and restaurants and of course city beaches. Locals are famous for grazing away the day over mid-morning tapas, a long lunch, afternoon pastries and a late dinner.
The buzzing squares and the famous Ramblas attract locals and tourist alike. Mixing with Barcelonistas along the wide leafy avenues, in the shady plazas and markets and through the narrow streets of the old town.
Formula One crowds increased dramatically since Fernando Alonso became a force in Formula One winning his championship titles. For the 2013 race in May we expect once again a carnival atmosphere on the grandstands, combined with the wonderful weather and sun the event is set to be a memorable European opening race.
Direct flights to Barcelona from many regional airports mean you can easily travel at convenient times from an airport close to you.
