Grandstand 31 overlooks Turns 8 and 9 and is an excellent spot to watch the race unfold. You will see the cars enter the corner under hard braking, as they pass under the bridge into this key overtaking zone.
You will then look down as they accelerate hard around the left-hand curve, and past around the back of this stand on their way to the Epingle hairpin. This is a high-octane section of the circuit, with heavy braking and hard acceleration with engines roaring and brakes lighting up.
At the bridge chicane In the northern part of the circuit, a short walk across the Cosmos bridge from the metro station. This sequence requires hard braking (from 300 to 110 km/h) under the bridge to negotiate the first right-hand corner over the curbs and then to resume the racing line for the left-hander which follows immediately. No rest for the drivers. There’s also plenty of souvenir shops nearby as well as a footbridge to the interior of the circuit to occupy any breaks in the on-track action.
A giant screen allows you to follow the on-track action at all times.
